How To Use Google Forms - Complete Tutorial

Eric Evenstad • Jul 13, 2018

One of my favorite tools that Google offers is Google Forms. This is a free tool that anybody can use to quickly build registration forms, contact forms, surveys, or any other data collection form.

To get started, all you need is a Google account (either a free account or G-Suite account will work). From there, you can build a new form from scratch using the drag and drop form builder or you can use one of their pre-built templates (I show you how to do both in the video above).

Then, once you've built your form, Google gives you a link to the form that you can share with others and they also give you HTML code so that you can embed the form on your website.

It really is amazing how easy it is to build a form and send it out to the people that will be completing that form....

BUT, my favorite part about Google Forms is how they organize the form responses. Unlike most contact forms, where you just get an email with form submission info, Google Forms adds form submission info to a single Google Sheets document (Google's free alternative to Microsoft Excel). This makes it very easy to read & organize all of the information that comes through your Google Form.

It may not sound all that exciting, but I promise this feature will make your life way easier.

Enough talk, check out the video tutorial, built your first Google Form and see for yourself how great this FREE tool is.
